
Lunar New Year is a time of great joy and blessings celebrated all around the world. Various mouth-watering dishes are usually served on the table, including the famous E-Fu Noodles, or in Indonesia popularly known as I Fu Mie. This Chinese cuisine is loved by many for its delicious taste as well as the fact that it’s quick and easy to make.
This time we present you a simple I Fu Mie with Prawn recipe using Javara Rainbow Veggie Noodle that is healthy and free of preservatives. The appealing rainbow colours come from the 20% mix vegetables content in the noodle. With a unique bird’s nest alike, this I Fu Mie is complemented with thick gravy and topped with fresh prawns. A truly tasty dish that brings happiness to all!
Ingredients:
- 1 pcs Rainbow Veggie Noodle (200 gr)
- ½ pcs Lemon
- 8 pcs Fresh Prawns
- 1 bunch of Bok Choy
- 1 tsp Sagoo Starch
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
- ½ tsp Pemuteran Salt
- Coconut Cooking Oil
- 2 Cloves Chopped Garlic
- 600 ml Water
- 1 pcs Egg, mixed
- 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
Direction:
- Heat 600ml of water. Cook Rainbow Veggie Noodle according to the instructions on the package. Drain well.
- Form the boiled Rainbow Veggie Noodle into a bird’s nest shape. Fry over low heat until noodles are textured and crispy.
- In a pan, pour Coconut Cooking Oil. Add 2 cloves of chopped garlic, saute. Add 2 tbsp of oyster sauce.
- Add 8 pcs of fresh prawns and season with ½ tsp black pepper and ½ tsp Pemuteran Salt. Pour 1 tsp of sesame oil. Stir evenly.
- Add 1 bunch of bok choy and pour the mixed egg. Add 1 tsp sagoo starch as well as a squeeze of lemon. Stir well.
- Arrange the prawn topping on the Rainbow Veggie Noodle. Pour the I Fu Mie sauce and garnish according to your taste. Ready to serve.
