Ingredients:
- 7 oz (1 pack) Javara Broccoli Noodle
- 8-10 oz Tuna loin
Salsa Ingredients:
- 3 Medium-sized fresh tomatoes (1 pound), stem removed, diced
- 10 Cherry tomato cut halves
- ½ Red onion, finely diced
- 4 Garlic cloves, finely sliced
- 2 Serrano or 1 jalapeno pepper, stems and seeds removed, finely sliced
- Juice of 1 lime
- ½ cup chopped cilantro or ¼ cup thinly sliced kefir lime leaves
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- A pinch of dried oregano/thyme and cumin, or more to taste
Preparation Method:
Fresh Salsa
Place all the fresh ingredients in a bowl, mix well.
Pan-Seared Tuna
- Season tuna loin with salt and pepper.
- Pre-heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a skillet pan then pan-seared the tuna for about 2-3 minutes each side for medium-rare, or 5 minutes each side for well done.
- Let sit for 5 minutes after removing from pan, and cut slice around 1-inch thick.
Noodle
Cook Javara Gourmet Noodle in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes then drain.
Cooking Methods:
- Heat 2 tablespoons of coconut cooking oil (or other oil) in a pan.
- Add the fresh salsa and sauté briefly.
- Add the cooked noodle and stir well.
- Season with salt and freshly cracked peppercorn as preferred.
- Add a pinch or more of oregano/thyme and cumin.
- Serve with some slices of pan-seared tuna.
- Garnish with roughly chopped coriander leaves or thinly sliced kaffir lime leaves.
